Nexus Brew
Interactive fiction · 2021 · ScratchThat
Down an alley in Brisbane, behind a door that passes for a broom closet, is a bar with a bridge to another world. Alexis runs Nexus Brew with her family’s dream, a bartender, a few regulars who aren’t quite what they seem — and a pile of debt left behind by her missing brother.
Then a talent scout turns up, and every choice from there is yours. There are ten endings to find.
Nexus Brew was made by a collective of creatives from QUT and first published in ScratchThat Magazine in 2021. I directed it, it was written by nine of us and illustrated by Jack Biggs — the full credits are below.
Content note: fantasy violence (including a stabbing), deaths, a brief scene of self-inflicted cutting as part of a ritual, alcohol, and some mild language. Needs JavaScript to run.
